Meeting with Neil went well, planning the red baloon shots with green-screen and slowmotion effect with HD camera! In the studio on Tuesday 17th to try these out and get back into the studio environment as we will be pretty much living there over the next few weeks! Script is coming along nicely with a good variety of shots and ideas being developed! Keep going guys and keep smiling!!!!!!

Week Zero – going 30 mph, lets move it up a gear.
This week we have reviewed the TV series Sherlock and This is England (although some people are still to do this – and for all our aims and objectives this is not getting off to a good start).
We have set our objectives, created this blogs and really moved it up a gear (currently we are probs in second gear, lets speed up and get up into fifth gear! – love a good car metophor)
Shiv has created sets and talks between the groups looks set to improve – especially with this blog. Communication within the groups is just as imporant as communication with seperate groups.
I am setting targets on the blog to make sure people are reading it and the first one is that every posts a blog on here about last week before the 18th Janurary. Our main targets the coming week are to keep up the communication, start looking at other ways of creating the unusal shots we want, get close to completing script and first drafts of all sets. The main points of improvment are camera work, unsure audio and lighting and time organisation.
With our supergroup (yes i know we are super!) is all sorted and things look set to create a great project if we can keep up motivation and commitment.
Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger
As the new year begins it’s swing, we have been revising our attitudes to the project. Last year it seemed we let things get on top of us and lost sight of the creative aspects of the production. Some of us were somewhat underwhelmed with our progress and with the ‘draft’ we handed in to be marked and knew we could do so much better in terms of creative shots, making tension in the sequences and making it all-round good telly! One thing that we really missed the boat on ironically was that our programme about identity crisis’ for youth in the 70’s had no strong identity!! And this is something which we now have the chance to change. After a christmas vacation full of reflection we have come back together and made some goals which we hope will keep us on track as the pressure mounts in our final term here at the University of Lincoln.
The Goals
– To have more camera movement and imaginative shots.
– Have better paperwork organisation, sooner rather than later.
– To be more positive and ambitious.
– Improve our technical skills.
– Build better working relationships amongst ourselves.
– To give and receive constructive criticism gracefully.
– Be more prepared.
– And to make something that we are proud to include in our personal showreels.
Hey! Ho! Let’s Go!
As part of our final year media project, we are mid-way through creating a television programme to demonstrate our capabilities in the television industry. Our programme entitled Ever Fallen In Love is a period featurette made for TV set in 1977 about one girl’s identity crisis amid the punk era. We will be updating you on the in’s and out’s of the working machine that is Nerve Productions (us) and our progress during the conception, filming and post-production of Ever Fallen In Love.
Synopsis
Linda’s parents are in the political game and lose touch with their daughter as she strays from the normality of their world and wanders into Punk territory, embodying the fashion and music to impress the punk rocker Spike… Will this newfound way of expressing herself fulfil her needs to belong or will she end up losing what is most important to her?
